there are two silencers under the engine (the slightly fatter section) and the two cones are silenced also so its quieter than you might imagine. i don't think they are as loud as preds (maybe even doms) although i've not had chance to put it side by side with a pred equipped bike yet but i have the option of adding db killers if i need to.
Bitchin' exhaust! Super nice looking. I'd love to hear a sound clip of those!
thanks clint i'll see what i can do (need to find someone who can point a video camera while i do a ride by)
Sent from my Motorcycle iPad appLove how you hid the mini cones by tucking them in and painting them black.
At first glance it looks like your running open pipes. Very sly indeed.
hi checkers yeh don't play poker with me!
i do have the option of running open pipes if i want, the rear cones and swan neck section are slip jointed and spring retained (as are all the joints).

At first glance it looked like you had straight pipes. I have had loud exhaust systems before and find them be annoying and fatigue inducing. EnjoyLove how you hid the mini cones by tucking them in and painting them black.

haha, still preaching the same gospel i see. Those sharp binds are not good going to the cones.Headers look kinda small they need to be 1 3/4.The d&d tt race pipes are to low to the ground but they make hp.Nice work but i think you need to rethink a few things.
NOT Preaching I just have learned a few things over the years .Havent seen any dyno numbers on your pipes.Have you tested them yet?For your info what i tell others on here comes from many dyno runs from my self and others since 2007.When where chaseing the 100 hp mark with these motors. We learned alot about pipes on these bikes.haha, still preaching the same gospel i see.
so far i've only done the ear test, the grin test and the eye test and mine passed all of them by my standards and that's exactly what's important to me. and I'm sure those TT pipes will satisfy exactly that crowd with similar standards, heck look at the amount of people just running headers.NOT Preaching I just have learned a few things over the years .Havent seen any dyno numbers on your pipes.Have you tested them yet?For your info what i tell others on here comes from many dyno runs from my self and others since 2007.When where chaseing the 100 hp mark with these motors. We learned alot about pipes on these bikes.
That's not preaching, it's common knowledge for any exhaust builder. Why put a performance exhaust on a motorcycle, when it hinders performance? People just don't buy exhaust for sound alone. Well at least people who understand performance and better sound can be achieved in one. Oh yea, running open headers does really nasty things with valves.haha, still preaching the same gospel i see.
My point exactly, the gain is so minimal on a bike that's not that fast to begin with. If you would have had a good looking TT pipe about a year ago, I might have gotten one, I love the look off TT pipes. I looked at the D&Ds but the ground clearance is just silly.saschagast i'm very pleased that your bc 2-1 system met your main criteria i think they're a very cool looking system aswell, and i hope you don't get to up set if they don't let your bike break 100 hp, personally given the choice between a bike with a bc 2-1 making say 70hp or a ugly d&d 2-1 making 75hp i,d take the bc equipped bike, thats the great thing about these triumph twins theres something for everyone.
this has got me thinking now if this system does'nt let my bike make 100hp should i saw it up into little pieces then squash those pieces flat with a big hammer then go for a ride on my 130hp zxr805?.
Hindering, yeah that's bad, possibly being ok with 3-5 less horses over the top contender but preferring the sound and finish, for sure. We are talking bikes that have 69hp stock. That's not preaching, it's common knowledge for any exhaust builder. Why put a performance exhaust on a motorcycle, when it hinders performance?
