Greetings. As of a week ago I now own a 1977 T140V. It is in a semi rusted state and with seized engine, but only has 13k miles from the original owner. I've already removed the pistons and everything looks beautiful for re-assembly, except I can't get one compression ring off a piston. I've tried soaking overnight in carb cleaner (Chem-Dip), several day soaking in ATF/Acetone, hitting ring gap with a pointed tool, etc.
Anyhow, I bough this as a fun New England wintyer project and basically been enjoying the thing so far. Once I resolve the piston ring issue, the motor will be re-assembled and I can start her for my first time. Can't wait.
