I usually am over in the Twin Talk forum talking about Hinckley bonnies, but I just got a 77T140v and am gonna get it running for my first vintage bike.
I need a wiring harness and looked up the part # in my parts book
NVT # 19-1962 and proceeded to look around at some of the popular vintage parts suppliers, calling and asking for prices ,etc.I was really surprised that they all had different quotes as to availability and the wide range of cost (almost twice as much !)
Is this normal to have different prices at each dealer and should I always shop around for parts? It would be easier to find one consistently lower priced option. Thanks

Thanks I 'll check into AMR for some other stuff.I was shopping Waldrigdes ,British Cycle Supply,MAP, Rask,Don Hutchinson...
Thus far the Canadians are the lowest and that's in canadian dollars for an added bonus.Rabers was closed yesterday...they would be closest.maybe Moores in Anahiem. But I would have to pay 8% sales tax for stuff in CA.

If I were you, I'd try to hold off buying anything 'till you complete your list of everything you are going to need.

You'll get a better response if you are looking for pricing on $500 worth of parts than if you are asking for a $50 order.

REMEMBER: The wide range of prices is more reflective of the fact that there is qualty OEM stuff, and there is cheap reproduction 3rd world produced junk.

Make sure to get a quote from me before you place your big order, I guarantee I can save you significant money on quality stuff.
