Hey, just picked up a black 2013 Thruxton From 'Ride' in Toronto.
This is first bike in more than 40 years. I'm taking it easy on quiet roads, feeling my way around slowly, but its coming back quickly.
I plan on doing a few simple mods over the winter.

After a 40 year hiatus, I don't think it would hurt to sign up for a supervised advanced rider course in your area and gain some feedback from trained instructors.

I attended an advanced riding course and I'd say my skills improved 200%.

I did a course at humber college, not as a veteran but as a newb...I have to say the guys there are really approachable which no ego what so ever. I'd highly recommend their course to anyone.
