Well first time on this site, or any site come to that. Had a recommendation from a bloke I met at Edinburgh two wheels who just leaving on his tiger and suggested I have a look, thanks for the advice looks like an interesting forum.
Currently I have a 1999 yellow tiger, which I got kind of by default a couple of years ago. Was running a BMW R1100RS which was a nice bike but constantly, and expensively, breaking down. Due to needing a bike fast I ended up with the tiger and then saw the light so to speak.
Anyway, now thinking of trading up for a 955i model, and will obviously need a test run but a short run doesn`t always give the full picture. Was wondering if anyone could offer a comparison, is the 955i far better bike, or is there little major difference

Welcome to the site nellyj. I can not give you an answer to your question but I can tell you that you meet KuzzinKenny in Edinburgh. He mentions meeting you in his post on Tigerless, which is in this section of the site.

the 955 motor is much updated from the old 885 and if you are looking at a later model they are more road orientated with stifffer suspension,alloy wheels etc. A test ride would be a good idea.I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

next time your at Edin/Tri you should speak to Neil, i have heard he lets his out for test rides, or phone him first !!
