The good news is my new seats arrived the other day, the bad news is Des from Ultimate Seats did this as a one-off and says he is solidly booked for the rest of the year. I think he's on a winner with the Rocket but he's flat out tooling up for the Hardley range this year so I guess in the grand scheme of things, we are still small beer! Davo

Too much! The whole thing was a one-off and I took all the options eg ostrich skin panels, two backrests, tailor made rain covers, plus fright from Canada plus import GST and on it went! Ouch... but we're very pleased with it! davo

Cool seat! Looks a lot like the Mustang seats that I like. But my short little legs probably wouldn't work with this seat. The low rider I have works fine. But if my legs were longer I would sure go for this one!

Nice looking seat, I am suprised so many people suffer with the stock seat. I regularly go on 400 mile day trips and covered 1800 mile in a week in October with no real discomfort from the stock seat. Mind you I have got artificial buttocks and like to wear a gimp mask.

To answer some questions, the seat is VERY VERY comfortable for me 'specially with the rider backrest in place. IMO the comfort comes out of the "L" shape rather than the "banana" shape of the stock seat.

Sunshine, I think that the Ultimate seat height is actually lower than the stock seat.

The seat is not as hard as a Corbin (thank God for that!) but in saying that it is not 'puffy' soft either. Like Goldilocks famously stated, "it's just right".

Teabag and Lee, how much? basically the listed price from their website for most other models www.ultimateseats.ca

It looks really nice and the prices on the web site seem reasonable. I'll e-mail them to put me on a waiting list.

Hey, good idea Teabag but only one problem. Ole Des wont make any for me... or anyone else. maybe if enough of us put some pressure on, he'll consider tooling up for next year.

There is one problem that I see which is Triumph have changed the seating to a one piece for the Classic. Unless the separate rider/pillion seats will retro-fit to the classic, Des's market is suddenly cut in half assuming Triumph sells about half of each. Can anybody tell us if the seating between the std Rocket and the Classic is/are interchangable? Davo

Do they mass produce their seats, including seat pans? If they're all custom-built on stock seat pans, what's the problem doing them for any bike - like Russell Day-Long?
