G'day

Davorallyfan here I'm 45 into dirt touring and rallies the Scrambler will be my 20th bike- first triumph. Into bikes - I have never owned a car - motorcycles are my transport and recreation

So I joined this site looking for information regarding mods. Cant say I'm impressed with the way its organised compared to other forums eg advrider.com

However I will persevere !

Q. Is there a specific scrambler forum?

I've got a swag of pix triumphs and other pommy bikes that I should post here.

Hey Dovo you fahn cahn, you should find plenty of info on Scramblers here - more tech stuff on the 'Bonnie owners forum' part of the site. What do you need to find out?
Nice to see another Gassit man... cheers, Pat

Thanks Guys

Here we go

To put TKC's on the front will I need to raise the guard?

Are there any suggested air box mods for more giddyup ? eg holes drilled / filter etc (Nb Ive ordered the air injection emissions eliminator kit - though I've heard a Nissan sump plug also works).

Screens I plan to put some serious miles on mine - not sure if the fly screen would really cut the mustard - any suggestions for a smallish screen?

Pipes - The NZ Thunder bike power sport ones look great - does anyone have them? what about the off road ones triumph produce - any good?

Rear shocks - they will be ***** soon - any suggestions for replacements? - Icon (only a little better) others perhaps some more rear ride height?

Cartridge emulators / springs who's done what?

Luggage - Ive got some ideas brewing for this - what are people doing?

Any weaknesses things to look out for?

I don't think the scrambler is just a poser bike I think it can be made into a stylish dirt road tourer.

dav,

Danger Dave in NZ put a pair on his Scrambler, I don't know if he did anything to the guard though. There is a picture of it somewhere, but I can't find it here or on the ntb site using the search 'facilities', maybe Dave'll post it again if he's looking in.

Most of the other stuff has been covered recently, but you could have a look in my photo album if you like: johny's picture book

ps. Ikon shocks are a BIG improvement.
