Hi everyone I'm new to all this forum stuff, just had to tell someone that I have bought the new NH silencers for the Scrambler, they are so new that they are not on his website yet. Best accessory fitted so far, quite LOUD but nice, also with careful use of the right wrist it is possible to ride with minimum noise level. Are there any more Triumph vertical twin riders here in Southern Ireland? it's an excellent place for biking, roads are quiet, very few Gardai (police) about and plenty of bends. Might post a few pics of the Irish countryside plus bike if anyone is interested.

Gotta agree, they look flippin awesome. Well done man. Like the way you have picked out the gold on seat, I have done it to also on the bar brace pad, took some time but ties in with the gold on the tank. Is the seam of the stick on variety from New Bonneville?

Hi again everyone, thanks for the nice comments about my bike RATS are obviously very friendly people. Here are some answers to your questions.

Pabonne - We have plenty of mud in Ireland, maybe I could send you a bucketfull.

TomS - It's a 06 bought in May in Dublin, I think the 07 models have an all black motor and gearbox. The tank seam is a stick on one from newbonneville. I picked out the Triumph logo on the seat using my girlfriend's gold nail varnish.

Mobileman - Other stuff done to the bike is AI removal, free flow air filter, tacho, have also replaced all the mix of stainless, chrome and black screws around the handle bars and speedo with good quality stainless ones, looks much better.

Sprocky - The mufflers don't get as hot as the pipes, and also are far enough back to be no problem for me, I think my girlfriend might have to be careful getting off though. Cost was £280 for the pair.

Will post some more pics when it stops raining.

Bye yawl.

Sprocket,

I ordered a pair of those from Norman yesterday, they told me that in a few weeks time a wire 'chip basket' heat-shield will be available for them. Also a version for the standard Scrambler silencers.

I was over in Sligo last year after attending Darran Lindsay's funeral at Dundrod, my granny was from Cliffony:

bung1,

My seat is the Triumph gel filled job for the Scrambler, but with a Mototwin greytop on it. I just got the cover and put it on myself, rather than post the seat in for them to do it for me. I'm not sure if they still have them (Mototwin changed hands recently) but here's the link anyway: Mototwin greytop

guys,

I got my Hyde pipes today, had to make a bracket to take the pannier brace, but otherwise went on no problem. The tone is improved over the rather 'blatty' bark of the de-baffled stockers, deeper and less harsh. Can't say how the performance is affected because I haven't ridden the bike yet, blowing a hoolie and raining just now. I'll take better pictures in daylight, but here's a shot to be going on with:

ps. I've booked the dyno for next Tuesday, I'll post the results and final jetting.
