oh yea this came too:

Stage 2: remove whole system, cut length a few inches shorter on the connecting pipe, clean up welds, black heat wrap the whole thing.

I like the tone, but shes a bit buzzy at idle and really $%)(@&% loud over all

I've been thinking about doing just that for amost a year!! Glad to have you here Fury - you make a great guinea pig!

Does the 'Trapp have all the plates in it? I've never had one, but my understanding was that you could tune the sound (and the restricition) by adding or removing plates...

Well *****. If it's that loud it pretty much rules out my idea... I was thinking of cutting the connector pipe just past the rider peg, and running one of the Trapp shorty mufflers...

I wonder how it would affect rideability if I put an internal baffle in the connector pipe....

did my airbox mod today. holy ***** did the exhaust get loud!

I took out some discs though and now its perfect, I have yet to test ride, but 11 discs seems to give a reasonable sound level!

How's the sound compared to the Devil can?
at idle the devil can sounds alot better

throughout the power band and in the very high RPMs, the supertrapp sounds better. A little on the loud side due to its small design, but not raspy, a good clean sound.

i actually think ill remove one more disk depending on how she rides when i test her out!
