Hi all!

I have only owned one bike in my life and it was a dirt bike, so I am new to the motorcycle family (of owning, been riding on/off for 10 years) and new to the Triumph family.

I took my bonny out today on the PCH through malibu and then through the canyons to the Rock Store which was on google for top 5 best rides in Los Angeles. It did not disappoint.

I am a huge camper and have always backpacked or used my Wrangler so I am excited to try camping with my motorcycle.

Any tips or things you may have learned after riding are greatly appreciated. I am still a beginner but loving it so far.

And anyone in LA - let me know... none of my friends have bikes so it's a solo journey right now!

Welcome. I'm in Santa Monica, and I ride a T120. Surprised you didn't buy a Tiger or a Scrambler since you are interested in camping and you have off road experience.

The Rock Store is a great ride, not so much on the weekends though. Did you ride up "the Snake" and get photographed? If so, you can google them (I think it's mullholland riders or something like that), check out the photos and buy one.

The first time I rode up there, I was totally weirded out by all the people taking my picture. Now, I only ride up there on weekdays.

Ride safe!

@ranger995 (not sure how to reply directly?) I didn't do the Snake - but I took the tour of the bar and they explained it so I know what you're talking about... I researched it before and figured that is something I will do when I am fully comfortable. I'm still learning so didn't want to push it and seemed like it's a bit intense of a road.

I looked at the Scrambler and loved it but unfortunately the seat height was too high. I'm only 5'8 and I think the Scrambler sits at like 32.9 or something so I was barely able to get my tip toes down which was not comforting but man they are some sweet bikes.
