Well...funny thing is just this fall I gave away an entire set of woodworking tools-- joiner, band saw, mitre saw, radial arm, thickness planer, routers, inlay saw and blades, sanders, etc. to a son in law...with the Triumph disease firmly in my system, I figured I was not going to do any more furniture or cabinet work. At the time I was amazed at how much space I had...now I seem to filling it back in slowly but surely.

Since buying new Amal carb. bodies and doing a basic tune up my 1971 Bonneville starts first kick 90% of the time. Once in a while I might kick it three times. Idles great with good throttle response. It is a bit lumpy on idle but I think it adds to the bikes personality.
I really like the look and feel of the Amals.

Did changing the carbs change the character of the bike? Does it still rumble or did it smooth it out?
