Hey folks! This amazing thing happened the other day... I found a '99 Triumph Sprint ST. I had a cruiser and then a V-Strom. I sold them a few years ago because kids happened. Recently one of my friends let me borrow his KLR650 and I thought that was going to be the next bike for me. Not his, but one like it.
I drove it to work and it vibrated more than I wanted. Another friend suggested I look into some of the local dealers. I took his advice and found a Triumph guy. He thought he knew of a Tiger that would suit my needs and in my price range, but it didn't work out.
Each time I was in the store, there was this beautiful, Red, '99 Sprint that had a full set of bags and was in my price range. I sat on it, and I was more leaned forward than I wanted and I passed. When the Tiger was a no-go, I figured test rides were free, so I came back another day with my gear. Wow! That is much quicker and faster than anything I have ridden before. And smooooth! It seems effortless to get up to cruising speeds. And my short test ride was far more comfortable than I thought it would be.
Now that girl that I didn't want to take to the dance is getting a new set of shoes and then I'll bring her home. I'm looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully riding with some of you!
