Just got my new 07 thrux yesterday. It's a bit quiet but man I love the way it rides. broke the ton today and it felt great It's just pure fun. handles the curves like a dream can't wait to get back on and I've only been off of it for about 5 min. I gotta say the guys at Lone Star in Austin Tx were great got a few free tees and they even threw in two for my girl and service was great. Gotta go ride now :-D

I was gonna head over and meet you, but got slammed at work. Yah, the first time I heard a Thruxton, it was that bad boy black. When they fired it up it had a very passive tick tick tick. Mine came with TORs, which have a nice tone but still let me ride of to church on Sunday morning. ;)

Congrats. Join our RAT group, even though you are a ways from Austin. In November, we are doing a RAID in the Hill Country so we will definitely want to see you there.

Tex-ton, I have TOR's, but belive me, when you cut that airbox up and run straight K&N, you'll get all the noise you want. Plus it's much faster to boot. You will break that ton without even thinking about it!

I've tasted the dark side, it's evil and it's good!

Oh man, you got the kit too! Not sure if you met Jeremy, he's the wrench at Lone Star. He wears a half helmet and goggles. He's the only one I know of.

How many miles on the clock now?

I HATE the grey fenders
I agree. I'd already cut and painted my front fender, but took advantage of the rain day yesterday and cut (some more) and paint the rear. Made a huge difference. Glad Triumph is paying attention to these things.

Hey Tex-ton, what'd you think of the riding position on your long ride home? It was a huge difference to me, really took some time to get used to the Thruxton but I like it now. I swore not to change anything till I had 5k or 6k miles in to make sure I was used to the new ride.

So far I haven't changed anything related to ergos.
