long story short - i put the petcock back onto my thruxton's tank after getting it back from the painter. filled it up with some gas and it started to drip so i took the petcock off, cleaned everything and started to screw her back on. CRACK! noooo...somehow the bolt snapped halfway into the hole. What do i do now? I hope I didn't strip the hole too bad and this is repairable.

If the bolt snapped the threads are likely fine. The problem is how to extract the broken piece. Can you get on the bolt piece or is it down in the hole ?

It's Murphy's law

If part of the bolt sticks out try to get a grip on it and twist it out with plyers or if not possible get a small easy out tap...get someone to hold the tank so you do not mess up that paint...good luck

use a dremel and cut a slot in it for a screwdriver.
Make sure you protect the tank just in case.
some MMo ore 3n1 oil to help and with a little luck.. so there.
