Thanks guys..
Just set everything up with the head, had a wee bit to much crush, using the std square white O ring, So ordered the next size down, .096 thou, which then gave me around ,030 thou gap between head gasket and head, That will do me.
About to anneal the new copper head gasket and get the head fitted..

Got held up in fitting the head, mocked up the head gasket, with all bolts in place and noticed the head gasket protruding into both cylinders, maybe a bit more than a mm. Remember seeing Don's rebuild thread where he also had this issue and relieved the areas that were protruding in. turned out to be a straight forward enough job, had an old fine round file which did the job perfectly. I will re anneal tomorrow and that should get me back on track..
I figured that it's a case of one head gasket fits all .. Mine is a rebore,40 thou over. Either way, glad I picked it up..

Slow progress, but finally got the head buttoned down. Took me a while fluffing about with getting barrel studs to bottom out at the bottom of the hole, not the thread, but finally worked through it. Quite surprised in the variance of the hole depths themselves, even between the 2 5/16th centre holes, which both were also not bottoming correctly... More fun to come I guess. Starting to take shape, finally..
