The install is easy. If there are no additional mods to the bike (airbox), you don't need to re-jet.
Make sure you seal the area well though at the attachment point.
Congrats...you'll love the sound.

Thx, Hozer. I thought these bikes ran lean from the factory, so I was thinking about rejetting anyway. Do you recommend against it? The Predators & AI removal are the only mods so far.

As for the attachment point, I assume the stock clamp/shield will suffice?

Thx,

Troy,

I don't know if its true or not, but from what I understand you can get a pretty good power increase from the airbox mod and rejetting the carbs. More than you can expect from the exhaust mod.

Of course the carbs won't enhance the sound like the pipes will.

Here are the dyno results following the airbox removal, K&N pod filters, rejetting, head porting and skimming to my Thruxton. The dyno graphs compare TORS and Predator exhausts.

The main jets are 138's with stock pilot jets. The needles are raised with one shim.

The Torque and Power dyno graphs show the TORS curves (RED) and Predator curves (BLUE). Maximum power and torque are similar for both exhaust systems. The Predators do give more power and torque almost everywhere else. The huge dip in the torque curve with the TORS at 3,500 to 5,000 rpm is no longer there with the Predators.

The Predators also give a weight saving of about 2kg and sound superb.

TORQUE: TORS 61.3, Predators 60.5 ft/lbs

POWER: TORS 70.6, Predators 71.0 bhp

Fuel/AIR RATIO:
