Hi everyone,
Not quite sure what I've got here but I know it's running a Triumph 1961 5TA motor in a Greeves frame but as for the frame I've no idea. Has anyone got a clue what the frame could be off. The down frame/head stock is a solid aluminium casting.

What (little) I know of Greeves frames, ally front down'tube' casting is at least regular, if not standard. Anything that looks like a model code in the frame number?

If you look just at the index of Greeves motorcycle images on the cybermotorcycle site, you'll see cast ally front downtube, leading-link forks and blue paint were common to all Greeves models for years ... From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greeves_(motorcycles) :-

Ime, the "Grumph" combination was relatively common in GB at one time - Greeves used many Villiers engines, Villiers stopped motorcycle engine production in 1968, Triumph had stopped producing the 3TA and 5TA after '66, the Tiger 90 after '68; there were always lots of Triumph twin engines in breakers so, when Greeves and Triumphs were just "old bikes" ... particularly if you wanted to go green-laning but didn't want to pay for a Yamaha or Suzuki 175. I contemplated one in the 1980's but, by then, the Japanese 175's were cheap and it was pointed out to me that they'd be a lot lighter than a Grumph when (not if) one of them fell on me ...

Managed to find the number on the frame. 61/3203 with a seperate E stamped lower down the casting but still no help as to which model it's from.

Ime, certainly Google's internet search engine is a wonderful thing ... I entered "greeves frame numbers" into it, the first link it returned was "Identify your Greeves" on the Greeves Riders Association website - specifically a table of Years, Model codes, Names and Types, Engine Capacities and Makers ... and Frame number prefixes. I scrolled down the table watching the data in the "Frame" column, I found "61" almost at the bottom of the table, it appears to equate to a '71 380 Griffon scrambler but you might wish to confirm that on the club's forum, as the text above the table invites readers.

Yes I found the same site earlier but the frame numbers are a bit misleading. Mine definitely seems to have the roadster rear sub- frame that dips down towards the number plate bracket but which roadster is any ones guess. I have been told that 61/3203 refers to the year and how many were made in that year.
