Hello All,

Okay so I started with a Crystal White Trident since it was the only one I could get my hands on:

BUT.... I REALLY wanted the matte black version. So I did a lot of hunting around and since parts either didnt exist to be ordered yet in North America or were on severe backorder, I searched across the ocean and found a Triumph parts place in Germany that could ship what I needed to Canada. And did the rest of the changes myself....so before detailing that, here she is.....

What I initially wanted to change:
  • the front fenders (left and right side)
  • radiator covers (left and right side)
  • tank cover (obviously)
  • under tail panel

Due to the cost of the parts and VAT fees/custom charges etc. I had to "settle" for the tank cover and rear tail panel. Here are the part numbers if anyone else is interested in mixing up their look a bit:

- Matte Black Tank Cover (with decal applied): T2403507-PS

- Under Tail Panel ( I went with the Sapphire Black since I didnt want the Silver-Ice and would be easier to clean than a matte black...more on this below): T2312348-PM

Here is the site I got them from and the rep that helped me, Jonas Kramer would not stop until he had all the answers I was looking for...which was a lot : Triumph Original Zubehör & Ersatzteile >> Triumphworld

After about 2 months, I finally received them: The tail panel was easy enough..

The tank cover is a bit of a delicate operation, there are multiple (plastic) pins that can be easily damaged if not done carefully. jRob Rides did a great step by step tutorial for this process and worked flawlessly:

Since I did not get the other "black" parts that were available ( didn't really dig them anyway since they were all gloss Sapphire Black ) I went to the hardware store and picked up some Krylon 2in1 Primer and Paint "Matte Black" and removed the radiator covers and front fender covers and painted those and for what its worth they came out really nice.

Next I wanted to be rid of the glaringly "cheap" looking shiny plate above the pegs...

761034

I VERY carefully masked the area around it and painted this as well. looks much nicer I think...

Next I wanted a nice radiator guard since driving on roads here in Quebec is like driving on the moon, it would not take much to punch a hole in that big radiator so I found a place in the UK that had a really nice one: https://iconicparts.uk/shop/ols/products/triumph-trident-660-2021-radiator-guard-preorder

So there it is. Still waiting on my pillion blanking plates from R&G:
761037

Got the usual black adjustable TEC brake and clutch levers from: TEC CNC Alloy Adjustable Front Brake & Clutch Lever Set

as well as the bar-end mirrors from TEC: TEC Clamp-On CNC Round Bar End Mirrors WITH End Caps

lastly, the wheel rim tape and decals: TRIUMPH TRIDENT 660 FULL WHEEL RIM STRIPE DECAL STICKER KIT the all white version is model (118)

I would be happy to answer any questions about the changes and or the bike itself, just past and did the break-in maint on the Trident and it like a whole new bike.... in a GREAT way !!

Cheers All !!

Very cool T! Wtg on the Trident transformation, I like it, it definitely doesn’t look stock anymore, enjoy your new toy my man!.. FTG
P.s. r u leaving the exhaust stock or u going to change it out for a aftermarket.
from what I have seen/read. the exhaust needs to be a full system (very expensive) since it "appears" you cant do a slip-on option. That said, I like the sound of the bike just fine.... I drove my neighbors insane enough with my Victory Octane

and MAN is that thing loud. I kind of like how neat and tucked the exhaust is on the Trident but options always open :p Thanks for the kind words !

for the price point, they had to cut corners "somewhere" and im guessing that was one of the parts, can only imiagine the price diff Triumph would have to pay to get a matte black plate done vs the cheap-o chrome looking one... easy cosmetic fix though.

never got stopped or asked questions about the Trident when it was in its stock white but since i made the changes I cant go to the store with at least 3 or 4 people coming up to me and asking/ complimenting it...so yea it was worth it :)

Can you blame them? Honestly, my only requirement for the bike was to NOT get the white one hahah

I love the look, i saw on another forum someone tried to plastidip the chrome and it didnt hold.

My partner and I have one of each, white and black, and it's def the black one that pulls a crowd.
What have you found to protect the front (back?) of the tank? I can already see it won't be matt much longer where it gets rubbed...
Thanks for the super cool ideas. I'm gonna nick some of them; the union jack radiator cover (I'm an ex-pat brit living in Canada, so I have to innit), the Krylon matt black paint jobs, the TEC levers. Although I'm probably leaning towards the Triumph bar end mirrors as opposed to the TEC ones, but not sure!
