I work for a civil engineering firm and am on CAD a lot. I'm pretty darn good. Anyway, I was told today by a couple of coworkers that I can send them a CAD file and they can fab up whatever it is on one of there many machines(from their other jobs as mechanical engineers). They mention CNC and waterjet machines among others.

I was just wanting some suggestions on what to design.
Let me know what you guys have been wanting, but haven't seen on the market or something that can be improved upon. The sky is the limit.

Thanks

Great ideas guys. I'll start designing the levers tonight. They should be cheeper than other levers because the development will be a "labor of love". Materials should be fairly easy to come by, especially for smaller things like levers and brackets. Keep the ideas rolling.

This will all probably take quite some time, but it will be worth it.

that IS cool.
triple clamps would be cool, rear sets (of course) would be cool, axle sliders, risers!, caps for the pivot area, heel guards (although i'm pushing for silver carbon fiber on those).

the list is long. cool capabilities!

gotta start playing the lottery. i want a shop before i get too old.

They held up when I dumped it, though I wasn't going real fast at the time. Seems like a great piece that would be easy to design. you could make it hold almost any set of sliders, from Sky King to LSL or Lockhart Phillips (very pretty). Either mushroom shaped or the longer UH-MW tubes (could double as foot pegs). Or create your own idea, the material isn't hard to machine to shape.

How about some cool bladed spinners-Ben Hur style for the wheels....Nah bad idea.
How about a silencer that had a volume control. You could turn it out for louder, in for quieter. But the pipe would have to be long enough to keep from having exposed parts but short enough to be practical. Maybe a ratchet mechanism to allow movement. Maybe make a device that would allow internal alignment of holes in plates for louder, staggering them for quieter. And it should fit a T 300 because the only pipe available is a D & D. It should also be lightweight.
So if something like this exists, I'm not aware of it.
Laugh if you want-they laughed at Hughey Long.
