My thruxton sounds like a hound dog on the trail of a rabbit... I installed gaiters this afternoon, and now the forks make a sniffing sound - basically air moving in and out of the vent holes in the gaiters. Anyone had this problem? Is that just the way they are? I bought them from Bella Corse, and per the instructions, squirted a little wd40 in the vents to keep the slides from corroding if water should ever get in them. I had to poke holes in the vents, because there was extra rubber plugging them - I used a screw to clear the vent holes.

Overall, I like the gaiters, but the snivelling & sneezing isn't cool. well noone likes snivelling, so I'll stop mine.
It was a good week of tinkering... installed a lucas tail light and bullet style turn signals. actually they are deuce style bullets, as in harley (gasp!) softail deuce. they fit pretty well with the look, though.

Three ideas:

Make the holes bigger

Get aftermarket pipes

Wear earplugs

...or just wait a week and you probably won't even notice it anymore.
