I want a disk or discs up front on my 71 tiger cafe project and I got to thinking why not swap to a modern sport bike front end. Just wondering if anyone has ever done this or have any pics

You just need to be aware that modern forks are relatively short, and the trail that is designed into the yokes is virually nil.

Look at the spacing on the OEM yokes and you'll see the fork legs nearly 2" out front of the yoke stem. On modern bikes, they are less than an inch ahead.

This results in three probable situations - VERY quick steering, close quarters from the handlebars to the gas tank at steering lock, and WIDE turning radius in parking lots.

Other than that, simple mods to the steering stem and/or head bearing change are all that is required.

I was able to have a Kawasaki 636 yoke stem turned down to slide right into stock Norton head bearings. I do have clearance issues and wide turning radius, but the steering geometry is okay.
