Over the weekend I picked up a set of 2008 mufflers for my 2006 speed triple. Originally the idea was to remove the baffles in the 2008 cans for a bit more growl and preserve the 06 mufflers incase I decide to sell the bike in the future. So I went through and removed some of the guts of the mufflers (basically turning a 3 chambered muffler in to a 2 chamber muffler). I put everything back together and the bike sounds and runs great, but upon some research I realized that by replacing the 06 muffler with the modified 08 mufflers not only removed a few baffles but I also removed the cats (08 has cats in the pipes). My question is do I need worry about remapping the ecu? If so will the tor tune work? Also if I don't do anything what is the worst that will happen. As of now it seems to run pretty good. Any input would be welcome.

'08 has cats in the mufflers, there is a Pre cat in the link pipe..

If it runs well, go with it.

If the bike was off, it would be pretty obvious..
