1st the Queens Dragoon Guards, 82-87, NI, Lebanon, UK and Germany.
It was a good laugh but it was just something I did to escape the high unemployment and economic depression in Wales at that time. I soared through the ranks to the dizzying heights of lance corporal but had been busted back down to Trooper, when I left.
Here`s a cr*ppy picture taken in 82 which I couldn`t bring myself to throw out.
US Navy, 6 years active duty, 1976 - 1982
Enlisted, E-5 Petty Officer Second Class, AG2 Aerographer's Mate (weather & oceanography to support P-3 aircraft anti-submarine warefare operations); stationed at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey, Naval Air Station Bermuda, and Misawa Air Base in northern Japan.

'88 - '92 Australian Army Reserve RASIGS. Mostly Op Radio and then Det Cmdr.
I did some full time duty and volunteered for everything but there was a bout of world peace at the time and no money for defence spending. For quite a while it seemed like Cpl was the ceiling rank for a digger. I realised I wasnt going to see the world coutesy of the tax payer so I buggered off and toured around myself.
