I have a 71, t-100, 500cc. and am wanting to make it a 650. what needs to be changed, to make this happen? what other performance mods, can i do, to make this bobber scream?

the 500 was the original design of the speed twin...the beauty of it is the square design (bore=stroke) and a sweet smooth running long winded engine. if you want something different, then start with something different.

leave the 500 alone... start with a 650... put a 750 kit on it, stroker crank, big intake valves and carbs if that's your thing... you're at the wrong starting point for your imagination.

IMHO the 1966 single carb T100C 500cc 2 into 1 high pipe competition model was the sweetest bike they ever offered...67 went to 2 high pipes...I liked it better than the TT Specials for the pure fun aspect.
