Hi, I am fiddling with a MU42 replica headlamp which has a U39 switch in it. The switch has a cam operated lever section which is supposed to allow terminals 1 and 7 to be connected to the centre of the lever at terminal 8.

However I can not work out how to actually connect a wire to terminal 8 at all !

I see a loop for guiding a wire over the lever but no place where I can actually make a secure connection.

Does anyone have a suggestion ?

thanks!

I have no personal experience with that switch, but after looking at a bunch of pics. And wiring diagrams, I think what you called a loop for guiding a wire is where a bullet connector gets inserted. I'm sure an expert wil soon confirm or debunk my theory.
