I am looking for some options for a lower bar - I am not sure a flat bar will work - could be a bit too low and may be clearance issues?

The OEM seems to be about 2" rise up above the yoke - maybe 1" rise would be good?
Has anybody done a lowering of the handle bar and can provide feedback/suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I put on Ducati streetfighter bars.
clutch cable needs rerouting due to too much length when you drop bars
you need the tool or screwdriver and understanding of the connectors to remove control pods
you have to drill the bar for the new switches (in my case I miss-measured so I drilled them twice
I also used Rizoma low bar risers (in the forward position)
the OEM bar end mirrors won't fit any other bar, you need to start fresh with them. I drilled out the center of the plastic collars and used Woodcraft bar end sliders for bar levers (again those had to be customized to the bar I chose).

If you are persistent you can make it happen, otherwise it is reasonable to live with the bars that are integral to the ST
