Most comments I have read on the tiger1050.com forum say the "lower seat" is really not any lower and a waste of money. There are lowering plates available from various vendors that will lower the 1050 1.5 inches. If the front forks are raised in the triple clamps about 18 mm when the lowering plates are installed, the ride is supposed to be about the same as stock from a steering stand-point.
I have mine lowered with lowering plates and I am very satisfied with the result.
