If you want LOUD ... buy a set of D&Ds or BUBs. I have a set of Predators on mine and really like the overall sound quality - but I have to admit, the GF has D&Ds on her Bonnie and I do like the 'in your face' loudness of them. No such thing as sneaking home with those things for sure.

a plus about the predators over the D&Ds is that they are stainless steel (no rusting, ever) and they have a welded in steel louver/mechanical baffle which means no repacking, ever, unlike the D&Ds.

The D&Ds are louder, but I believe the Predators sound better, and they aren't quiet by any means. I love my Predators, had them for a year.

The Bubs are LOUD.

...another vote for the British Customs' Predators. They sound and look great.

again.... Predators (!)

Classic lines, attractive, well made, mechanical baffle (never needs repacking), sounds goooood, and it's quality stuff. I am soooooo sorry now I no longer have mine. Oh, and with regard to performance? Vastly superior to the D&D's.... somehow they provide solid and linear pull from the bottom to the top of the power curve. Can't stress enough how much I liked mine (and how stupid I feel for having sold them when I needed the money).

For the closest to the "right" retro sound and look, it's hard to beat the NH Togas. They come with optional baffles. Don't use them.

hey guys. any suggestions on what i can get to make the girl louder? should i do a slip-on or remove a baffle or get new pipes altogether? as you can see, i'm clueless. thanks, kids.
I have the Bubs. Definitely 'in your face' LOUD! I love the sound! But not stainless steel. And pipes are rather short.

On my Thruxton, I’ve had Staintunes, D&D’s (with baffle, w/o baffle, w/ new dirt bike packing) and now, Predators. The Predators are definitely the best sounding of the three. My girlfriend's Bonnie has the classic looking Norman Hyde Togas. They too, have a great sound, although not as loud the Predators. For Thuxtons and cafe’s, I prefer the look of the Predators and for classic looking Bonnie’s, I prefer the Togas. In both cases (Predators and Togas), there was a noticeable power increase.

In any case, thanks for the compliment about the bike!
