Hey out there, so Im new to all this Triumph stuff. Ive been looking for the perfect Speed Triple for a month w/o luck so far. I almost had a white 2008 but the seller decided to keep it after I sold my bike to make the sale. lame.

Anyway, I just sold my '07 GSXR and Im in love with the triple. Im set on an 08 in white or orange but all I can seem to find is black. I really dont want black bike but sadly every s3 I find is black.

Im trying to be patient as I am hoping one will pop up. So if anyone hears of one for sale, PM me please.

Also, Anyone on here ever consider trading colors? just curious if that ever happens....

You need to say where your located if your seriously looking for a S3. My dealer has a couple, one used.

Fredrecktown Triumph and Yamaha has two white ones I believe. I talked to a salesman just last week about test riding one, but they don't have any demos in stock, and I remember he mentioned that they had two white ones in stock

You can give them a call to find out. They are about 45 miles from B-more.

BTW...hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster. Looking at getting an S3 myself possibly towards the end of the year though.

All the newbies on this thread - swagen1; bobfish; jdubya; tws; Welcome!
Don't think I've ever seen so many new members all make their inaugural post on a single thread!

Now - can you all please revisit your UserCP profiles and fill in your location - and also year/model under favourite bike (assuming you have your Triumph already!)
It just helps in future postings that other members can recognize what bike you're maybe asking question about, or where you're located.

Not sure why the sale is pending for so long on the one in KC. I plan to go there tomorrow, might check it out. Not in the market, but I know this bike, it belonged to a friend of mine and it is mint condition. He replaced it with a 09 orange Tiger........

colours

I have an 05 scorched yellow and put a thread on the site last year looking for somone to swap for the green. No replies. I bought a gloss black front mudguard on e bay for £40 and it transformed the looks of it. ( not so mustard) I think just changing the tank to white would look better than all white. I would post a photo if my son would show me how to but he seems to enjoy me being computer iliterate.

I can repaint any color your wanting. You
would then need to get proper decals from
your local dealer. I paint as good or better
than any factory paint job. Best of all I can
do any color you wish. I use only high quality
PPG paint and clear. I can post pictures of my
work if you would like for me to paint it for you.

I haven't yet gotten my Speed Triple but no
matter the color I get I'm repainting and I
can assure you it is going to be sick. I have
never seen one the color I'm going go for.

One of the coolest oranges on the market
now is this new product. Also, if your wanting
white, the whitest on the market is called
Super White, its a Toyota color. I've used it
and its a pure white with no other hues. You
would add a very small amount of blue pearl
to it to match the blue decals that Triumph
has.

I'm about an hour and 15 minutes from you near Harrisburg, Pa. and I just put a deposit down on a bike today. I've been looking for a long time, too, but you can find one if you stick to it.

I check craigslist, ebaymotors, and cycletrader every day, more than once. It gets frustrating, especially when you're looking for a bike that is not black, but it'll happen for you. I got lucky because I happen to love these bikes in black and that's what I was looking for.

Very bold claim!!!
Have you ever seen how much orange peel is in a
factory Ducati paint job. They are about the only
company that I know of that still hand paints bikes.
Thats the reason why if you line up a bunch of 748s
hardly any of them match.

I'm not trying to be an ass, I am however disabled
and I use painting to help me rehab. I taught myself
how to spray with the hardest form I know of to get
consistency and prolly the most expensive. Rattle can.
This was a month after it was sprayed and cured to wet
sand and polish.

My bike

A friends track/race bike. I still have to wet sand and polish.

Not meant to derail the thread, just letting you
know I can do a change color and guarantee you will
be happy.....

Pictures of paint jobs are about as useless as t#ts on a bull!

Yeah the OEM finishes by some manufacturers leaves a lot to be desired. That doesn't mean re-finishing is a better option.
I would be more interested in your process for this colour change. Not something I'd advise FLYONWALL9 and for good reason!

SORRY, I didn't mean to upset you in any
way. I can give you and anyone else as
many references as needed. Prep of
color change depends on material used.
I offered to do work for the original poster
of this thread to help him out. I come to
this web page to converse with like-minded
people not to thrash someone who is only
trying to help others.

Like I said I will guarantee any work that I
do for anyone. Also, I do not do paint work
as a business; I'm a disabled Vet that does
paint work to help me rehab.

Sorry you have a negative attitude towards
what I do or know, when all I am trying to
do is help a fellow rider out.

You have a blessed Easter.

You haven't upset me at all dude, but in 25 years I've only ever met 1 painter that would blow his own a$$ like you have and he was at least qualified.
