Much as I've liked the Nolans that I've had (2xn-100, n-102, n-43), they have all had peeling paint issues within a year or two. Part of the reason that I bought a solid white one this time was to minimize the visibility of the peeled patches. I do tend to ride a little bit more than the average Joe, so 'a year or two' generally means 40-50k miles worth of sun/uv exposure, in addition to rain, cold, etc. That being said, the build quality, liner fabric, etc all seem to be pretty good quality for the price, and I'll probably purchase another one in the future.

PS I've never tried the specific model you were looking at.

Don't know that particular Nolan model, but we can attest to the quality of the Nolan brand. We use N-102 modular and N-42 open face and find them both very satisfactory. No problems with paint peeling, but we don't ride as many miles as mayday.

Got any more beer? It's 5:00 somewhere.

We trudge on.
