Hello, wondering if there will be any issues transferring TBS engine guts into a LEGEND crank case? (original TBS crank case has irreperable damage) mostly concerned about the gearing?
can anyone chime in on this issue?

No problem, the cases are identical. As for the gearbox.. the Legend even has one of the 6th gear pair fitted, it's opposite cog being a blank spacer. (The selector drums are different of course.) The 5 or 6 cog pairs are identical between Legend, TBS and all the T3xx series bikes.

much obliged, Mike.
are you familiar with any other sources for parts besides ebay?
Ideally would like to find a daytona engine if I'm to swap out.

No, ebay in US seems to have some good breakers. You're not likely to go there, but a certain guy in Wales is definitely to be avoided.

so I suppose a 96 trident engine would be no problem as well? if the 6 gears are not an issue, are you aware of anything else that might come up in a trident or legend swap?
I know that the super 3 daytona wasn't quite a match up with some annoying things like radiator hoses and kickstand
