I got the Mot coming up on the Tigger, I have got a touring scottoiler behind the number plate, this pushes the number plate out about 40 or 50mm, so to ensure it goes through the MOT with minimal fuss I have bought LED number plate lights for £10 from Triumph on line. (squaredeals)

Found out that Triumph on line is also the same place as Biker-discount

I had the same HCR fitted as yours on my 955. I was also worried about the reduced plate illumination. I thought I'd just take it for testing and chance it before changing any lighting.

Needn't have worried. It passed the MOT. Passed the next year too at another testing station.

Another benefit from your LED fit is the longevity of them. The only bulbs I ever had fail on my bike were stop/tail lights ( 2 x off ).

It should do if you stick a bit of tape on the inside edge of the left hand lens facing the front of the bike, at tthe three oclock position if you imagine the lens as a clock face abot an inch tall & 1 1/2 " wide. Mine passed its first two MOTs without this mod then I changed test station, the guy at the new MOT station added the tape two years ago to modify the beam to pass. I just re-tape it when it peels off. Mine gets MOT of Friday so fingers crossed.

had a look at the LH lens when looking at the bike head on, there looks like the lens has diffuser marks moulded into the glass. I am going to book the bike in so I will have a chat the inspector when I book the Tiger in

Spoke to the mot inspector on Friday, no problem, if the light beam flicks up to the right then black tape on lens, if no flick up then no worries.
checked the lights out last night they are in line so no worries.

your welcome, I used heat shrink from the ends of the bolt parts to ensure water tight, remember to leave enough wire to remove the plate when you need to fill up the res, lucky enough we did the mod lunch time in work with my mate (auto electrician), when I say we did the work I mean my mate did the electrics I was the spanner man.

I forgot to mention she passed the Mot, with dual headlights on with out masking he lenses up.
