Tiger Tune

Hi Teologie,

I have been testing the 10121_CustomMap.hex tune that you made up for the last few weeks in my 2006 955 Tiger.

My bike has the TOR exhaust and a K&N air filter.

I can report back that it's really improved the rideabilty of my bike. Engine response at small throttle openings is much smoother and I have noticed that the tickover is much more stable at bang on 1200 rpm. Fuel comsumption seems around the same.

I am a happy camper, thanks very much!

Regards,

Dave.

Are you sure your 2006 (MY?) Tiger 955i falls within the VIN range 124106 to 206546? Being the last year of manufacture, my 2006 Tiger 955i is from VIN # 206547. Best check to make sure...

Actually I used 10173AFMod2

Hi There,

My mistake, I actually used 10173AFMod2 from the Tom Hamburg site on my bike.

I do know that my bike runs really well on it!

Cheers,

Dave.

My Tiger does not run really smooth at low revs.
Mechanics are OK (valves, synchr. Etc )

App. tune 10173AFMod2 improves this behavior.
Since I am currently running with 10173, my questions are:
- what is the difference between these tunes?
- if Mod2 is better, why are the improvement not part of 10173
(10173 is released later than the Mod2)

An other question:
- I am using TuneEcu, how to compare tunes?
If I load the second tune in my laptop, squares will appear in all the boxes in the map, but that's it..

Personally I just stick with the TOR tune. It's a well known and tested tune, and gives great results with more low down pull :).

Good luck with your choices :)

Hi, my VIN is a great long number ending in J130922, does that mean my VIN is within the range specified?
I have a TORS exhaust (never realised this until I was swapping engines over last weekend - always thought it had just gotten loud due to having done so many miles!!!), but I have a K&N Air Filter (not Production).
Is the 10121_CustomMap.hex gonna be right for me please?

Many thanks experts!!!
