The last unit 650

Whilst the last unit 650 engine was the TR65 Thunderbird, the last 650 model was the TR65T Tiger Trail produced late 1981 until deleted with it's 750 sister TR7T at the end of 1982.

Although thought to be the better engine for the trail, it was priced -strangely- the same as the 750 TR7T Tiger Trail as - well, people wanted more cubes for their, only six- count 'em- were made ! Two went to Muryama Motors of Japan and the rest within the UK.

There's a genuine TR65T on display at the London Motorcycle Museum where , as some may know, there's a celebration of the Thunderbird model on 4th July this year
