I'm currently hanging on to 2nd place in the voting, I'd like to wrap it up there, I don't think I can pass the guy in 1st place.

Thank you for your support...

It's hard to make a true comparison between a new bike and a vintage bike. It's an eye of the beholder kinda thing. I was talking to a guy the other day that does vintage american bike resto work and when I mentioned I had recently picked up a '66 Bonnie his only reply is "they do nothing for me". I guess it's like guys who like fat girls and guys who like skinny girls.

I gotta tellya, Paul, that Montessa certainly brought back memories. When I was in my 20's I picked up an Ossa Pioneer that needed some TLC. Montessa was running full color ads on the back page of bike mags and the red Capra with the white fenders made me drool. When I brought the Pioneer back to life, it emulated that Montessa more than it's true heritage.

As for the BoM loss, I think you might have clinched first place had you used a Pampered Chef Teflon baking pan instead of a no-name baking pan for your belly pan ;-P

I have missed my chance to vote for you, G.P., which I surely would have. A little more notice up front next time.
