I'm pretty sure it's the oscillation overthruster indicator.

The LED in the triple clamp is for the Datatool alarm. You can buy the alarm at a dealer or some websites sell it. I've had mixed results using the alarm. Its one of those, it either works really well, or you're draining batteries and its constantly going off.

The LED will blink at different rates to tell you which mode the alarm is in and if you somehow lose your keyfob, you can use the LED and ignition with your key to disable it using the correct sequence of turns.

thanks K for that straight up info. this is why this website rocks. there's a lot of BS moto sites out there and this thread was starting to wreak. lets keep the high integrity in place and the dick factor on the low.

No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be a smartass. It just comes naturally.

You do realize that this forum also doubles as SA? Smartass Anonymous?

Me: Hi, my name is Doug and I'm a smartass.

Everyone: Hi Doug.

Me: I've been a smartass now for over thirty-five years. Being a smartass has cost me my wife, my job, and my self respect. Through sharing the troubles caused by being a smartass I'm beginning on the road to recovery.

Everyone: Thanks Doug.

Hey thanks for the info, this is my first bike and just wanted to know what this light did. Couldn't find it in the Repair or owners manual. :)
