hand gear change painted rims not chromed(a e.turner good selling mod..),no friction damper on the fork, instrument panel on the tank everything says for an early thirties bike.the cylinder seems large for a 350 more for a 500 cc.
i have good pictures of a 5s of 1939 and it looks very similar.the duplex craddle is not a turner device(too expensive)anyhow a very nice bike if not perfect(chain guard?,throttle not period...)

Now I was told by my work colleague that this magnificent example of a vintage Triumph is a.... 1935 5/5 sidevalve 550cc. But when i looked on the list I posted to help all the guys out on the speed trip forum it did not have the above model listed. So something may have been lost in translation (from father to daughter).

So this bike is either a 1935 5/5 OV 500cc or a 1935 5/3 sidevalve 550cc .

Well it's been fun and educational.

Just the engine number will do. There are parts from different years / models fitted to it.
