If I wanted to use the individual K&N Filters for each throttle body. Does anyone know which size or Part Number to order?

Thanks for the info... I remember seeing someone had cut 3 holes in the Bearclaw so that only the chrome caps of the filters shown through. It looked really cool. Would love to figure out how to do that.

If seen pictures on the forum where the bottom part of the bearclaw is cut out. Cutting holes seems cool but there's still the rain issue. You don't want water getting in there.

The Peter Stevens Motorcycles custom Rocket from Melbourne had just this set up. I had a good look at it in their window display and the bear claw had the cut outs to accommodate the tops of the K&N's with the size of the cut outs progressively larger toward the rear. The holes where finished with rubber edging to provide a very neat finish but as has already been pointed out, parking in the rain or worse, riding in a downpour could create some issues.

Throw the bearclaw over your shoulder, or cut it up, problem is as many have found out if you cover the individual K&N's completely you will find heat soak around the fuel rails and throttle bodies is a real problem, on hot summer days or in traffic the bike will hate it, and so will you. I have ridden my bike in heavy rain and as yet not experienced any issues, I have made up some foam covers that have been waterproofed for the torrential rain, slip them over the filters and all is good, Safety first. They fit in my jacket pocket and I dont even know they are there. I have hacked my bearclaw check out some of my threads for pictures. Remember rubber side down at all times except for wheelies.

if you want a set of "man" filters throw the bearclaw away. rain--k/n makes a filter wrap that can be applied if raining--plus usual oiling. i'll send pic of "man" filters if someone will send me their e-mail. [email protected]

I believe Pig9r (r3owners.net) said he got them under the Bearclaw.

Yes the 2780's will fit under the bearclaw without modification. A little snug but it will fit. I went from undertank to triple set up. I would like to do something else though.

Anyone still have the photo of the modified bearclaw with the single filter sticking out in the front? I think it had a single headlight also..
