JC Whitney has a bunch of their shocks on sale now..I ordered the Progressive 412s in 13.5 length. I hope they're an upgrade from stock!

I went out to my bike and measured the stock shock length before I ordered. 13 1/2 was spot on.

The 412s are great shocks for the money. My new, longer set,is just as cushy as my other, shorter set. I paid $206 from a dealer on ebay. They were built last month, according to the paperwork in the box,so no "B" or refurbished stuff.

I got the "regular" versions, which came with 75/120lb dual rate springs. Very soft and compliant over normal road conditions while taking the big hits without bottoming. They have about half a dozen optional spring rates to fine tune for just about anybody, for something like $65 a set.
