I know that Ventura doesn't recommend their rack to be used as a backrest, but how strong does it feel?
Just got a Ventura rack fitted to my Bonnie
Got the touring kit with the large bag and also the smaller sports rack for around town. I'm very impressed with the sturdiness of the setup and it doesn't look out of place on the bike. I will be going away this weekend so will post my thoughts & some pics when I get back.

Hi There
the Ventura system is pretty sturdy but on the Bonnie there is a lot of leverage on the L-brackets due to the way they are mounted, leaning against the rack could bend it or worse force the rack out of the brackets. I have just monted another Ventura on my new Bandit 1200 and the method of mounting is quite different in comparison
