Out riding and took a few pics. I'm still going through them all, but wanted to post one or two that stood out to me.

Plus I just wanted to make Thatch and Dazco even more jealous. So enjoy sipping a beer and enjoy these fine pics. :p

Don't worry, you'll get yours soon enough. It's worth the wait!

Two black Tbirds and a black Speedmaster, oh so sexy

Yeah but the tbird doesn't look like a Triumph. Haven't you heard?

Early on I put the side shots of the tbird and speedy next to each other and you can see a big family resemblance. People are funny.

Good lookin' bike and group you got there Dr. Consider copious evil thoughts sent your way... I am, as expected, jealous.

Thanks Thatch! I wanted to get the Bonnie Black in the pic too, but too many bikes and not enough riders. The 2nd TBird is my brothers as well as the missing Bonnie Black. He just finished Marine boot camp and will be back on the 4th of July to ride the piss out of the Tbird.

Needless to say, more pics to come. I am your TBird Porn Dealer!

Ah well congrats to your brother then. My son just completed Army basic and is at the local base for his secondary training (PsyOp) but I'll be damned if he is getting anywhere near my bird :p

My son rode ride my T-bird for part of the ride home from the dealer. I won't let him ride out of my site until the break-in period is over, however, so he concentrated on setting my clock instead ... while riding. Kids, why do have them again?

Doc,

Did your owners manual come installed under the seat or have you tried to put it there?

I like to keep the manual on the bike, but I can't shove the packet in their like I can on my Bonneville. Perhaps it is designed to just hold the manual itself and not the manual/maintenance booklet together in the sleeve.

Also, I have a motorcycle lift (sears aluminum bike lift) that I use with my Bonneville for lubing the chain and cleaning the wheels and lower bike parts. On the Bird, the frame doesn't not extend below the pipes. Is there a way to use a bike lift with this bike?

My manual was not installed in the passenger seat. In fact, I removed the passenger seat, so I guess I'm not going to be rolling with the manual. Can't help you with that, sorry.

As far as jack points, there are no frame rails like on the Modern Classics. When jacking, you will have to be very careful. The exhaust is a little lower than the engine case. Also the cat is down there too. This could be tricky.

You go first and let me know how it works out!

Ok, now THAT has a sexy line. Thanks for the pics

Now, if they just had a light fender support and a smaller tire hugging fender .... oooooo, but the stock look will certainly do for now. (that is if I ever manage to get even a stock one)

Funny, i felt the same way because i was used to seeing that blue model with a lot of chrome accessories that has been shown about by triumph. And it has the chrome which i noticed as much nicer looking right off the bat. But the chrome version is $400 !! So i'll have to pass on that. Maybe see if the stock one can be chromed.

I wonder....ever seen that spray on chrome? That may be an option. My speedmsater's tank nacelle was plastic chrome and i couldn't tell the difference. Might be worth a try at probably $10 a can.

The other option thats even better possibly is polishing it. I don't know what kind of metal it is, but i have sanded and polished stainless steel and aluminum to mirror finishes. Be a lot of work but not $400 worth of work. :)
