I've been having trouble the last year or so with my carbs getting gummed up if the bike sits more than a week. I've done a complete rebuild recently and she runs like new - provided I don't go on vacation or catch a cold. If more than a week passes, it's back to poor idling and slow low-end response. After a few hours of riding, it's always better. I use carb cleaner and Sta-bil in every tank.

I mentioned this to my dealer this past weekend while I was waiting on a tire install. He said some people are going with slightly larger-than-stock jets to compensate for the poor gas these days.

Anyone have any thoughts on jetting as a possible remedy? If so, how big to make a difference without moving too far from stock? Mikunis, by the way.

Thanks in advance.
