I guess it would be better to use Tuneboy instead. I don't want any extra stuff under my seat messing with the stock wiring.

edit: Tubeboy-> Tuneboy. *** is tubeboy? Related to the tubgirl?

No NO! He's more likely a sidekick to Tankgirl. Or should that be, and insidekick to Tankgirl. Isn't that a l little suggestive? Tubeboy and Tankgirl.

Sorry.

Either Power Commander or Tuneboy will give you similar results. PC is cheaper, but Tuneboy is more versatile. There're some good tunes available for both, but the real benefit appears when you have some dyno work done and a custom map installed.

That's it in a nutshell.

From the "For what it's worth department"

I have a PC on my Triple. It has the map that came with the unit out of the box. My first impressions were: no more anemia below 3K, the bike ran smoother, and the real power came in the upper rpm ranges. Seat-of-the-pants data tells me the bike is faster from 60 to 100 mph. I have noticed no decreases in mpg.

I watched eBay for months and bought the PC new for $81 + shipping, added a K&N filter. Total investment was just south of $130.

Worth it? Sure. I mess with every machine I own, even the lawnmower. Speedy didn't stand a chance of remaining stock.

you gotta steal cat! Hey MH, you only have to buy a TB key for your bike if ya know someone with a TB. The key only costs $150, and our S3 guru Devious knows of a wonderful tune to download from the TB. I know Devi has been having some problems with his connection here lately, but send him a pm and ask him some info about it, I'm sure he'll be glad to share! :-D
