hi, Aberdeen triumph rider ( well will be once i get it back from shirlaws) currently riding a sprint RS, but dropped it last week and waiting to see outcome. Possibly looking to bag a tiger later this year.
Passed my test last November and bought myself a Trophy 900. I live in Cardiff and thanks to RAYNEWB, I have joined the RAT group based in Bevan's. Looking forward to the ride out's with them! :upthumb:
I ride a TT600, currently held together with gaffer tape (***** that Silverstone!).
Have almost finished rebuilding a Trophy 1200 and have a Daytona 12 in the garden waiting to be rebuilt for the Dragstrip.
And I've been riding for over 30 years - which makes me officially an old git. :-D
NICKWIZ, you can join RAT free now - just go to the Triumph site and register with the frame number of ine of your bikes and they'll send you their mag Torque regularly.

Life on 2 wheels started in the 60's on a Lambretta TV200. Lived 50yds from the Polish War Memorial on the A40, a Rocker meeting point. Couldn't afford a proper Bike in those days or the leathers so I was forced to be a Mod. Am the wrong side of 56 now and have had numerous bikes over the years including Honda CB's, Bonneville 750.(recently Sold to make room for the Thruxton).
Nice to see a dedicated forum on this site for the UK.

Leyland, North West England. Been riding 40 years (oh crikey, is it really that long) Had wide variety of bikes but happily settled with Bonnie, and just the occasional other bike "passing through" (Honda Revere 600 at present)
I have no doubt there must already be a thread on this but I am struggling to wade through everything. I would like to use my Thruxton 900 as a donor for a custom build - I am still exploring style options but I don't want to stray too far from the the cafe racer style. You might be...
Can I ride a bike in the UK. With my Canadian license.
I have a street twin. Here in Canada. One option would be to ship it over and ship it back.
I was thinking it would just be easier to by a bike over there. To ride while I am in the UK and sell or store when I leave.
I'm looking for a full rear end from a 2005-2007 Speed Triple 1050...
That's subframe, undertray, lights, bolts, seat catch, fairing...
If anyone has or knows anyone in the UK who can help, let me know.
Met up with a mate that I first met when I passed my Mod2 (he did it at the same time as me) and turned out we live about 5 minutes from each other. We both got bikes fairly soon after passing and have met up a few times for rides now. Earlier this week we rode together...
I just received what seems an astronomical quote from Carole Nash. £2300/year for 3rd party liability only, in a locked garage in London.
I recognize I have a few bad tick marks against me:, I'm brand new to the UK, still on an international licence, just on the south side of 30, about 3...
