It should be clear by now that no two people's rates will be the same, even from the same company. Everything from your locations and age, to your driving record, to your credit report, will affect your rate--and sometimes I suspect even the phase of the moon.
Always shop around!
(Even with that said, $1500 does seem extraordinarily high unless you're in an unusually high theft-risk area.)
