Just wondering how much you guys pay per month on insurance and who you're getting your bike covered by? Im in phoenix, AZ which for some odd reason is really expensive for any auto insurance.... my truck went up $30 just by moving here

I've been looking aorund a bit.... and to add the biek i want to my policy its 90 bucks a month for good coverage! my truck is only 150 for fawks sake....

Hell, even looked at geico cause they have their WONDERFUL motorcycle commercials.... $6500 for 12 months coverage..... yes.... $6500! I almost laughed myself out of my chair.

Considering the power/weight ratio, my age and location my insurance is very expensive. 1300euros per year. Price goes up to 1400-1500e next year because of a insurance claim I had to do this summer.

The coverage is good though. :???:

It's a bit of a gamble, I know, but I only have liability on my speedy, and I pay a whop'n $11 a month! :-D But hell, by the time I pay fer full coverage, I could prolly afford to buy myself another speedy if anything ever happens anyways. And if ya ever make a claim, it goes even higher! :hammer:  I hate insurance!

I pay $300/yr w/ Geico on my Duc for liability, theft, fire, flood (no comprehensive). 30yrs old, clean driving record, $1K deductible. Hoping the S3 will be less.

USAA is the one to get if you are able. I live in greater LA and pay less than $300/year for full boat with a low deductible. USAA also has the best service around. I had a van stolen about two years ago and was very happy with the claim experience.

GEICO is lame. They quoted me $3,500/year for LIABILITY for a 79 Ford truck. Ridiculous. Perhaps they need the $$ to pay for the CG nerds that animate the lizard.

I only have liability too for $186 a year. Full coverage was around $2500 a year. After full coverage for two years I could just buy another speedy with that money, and I don't think anything is going to happen in that time. If something does happen, I'm more worried about how I'll be doing that my old 2002 Speedy. :gpst:

How old is everyone and how long have you had your license too? I'm only 23, so that kills me right away. State Farm wanted about $600 a month for full coverage. I have the Geco, for better or worse... You guys who are 40 and have had a moto license for 20 years have it made on insurance.

I'm 57 with a clean record (at least in the last 10 years) so I guess that makes me a boring old codger. Codger insurance rates are lower than you 20-somethings, for sure. Hang in there--you'll reach codger-hood someday.

Well in my case im 26 and as for my record..... I have one ticket that will fall off my record on january 13th and one accident where my foot slipped off my brake pedal at a stop light, it lurched forward and the stinger on my rock crawling bumper poked a hole in the rear of some gals tailgate.

So nothing major by any means. But still sucky i guess. My only concern is im going to maybe finance half my bike... so id need full coverage.

I think I'd be kinda paranoid with just liability on a brand new bike anyhow.

BTW.... after talking with my current insurance, statefarm, they say I'm not considered an adult until I'm 30!!!!! Wonder how many of my ex's might agree with that

I am 24 with State Farm and I am paying ~$45/month for full coverage, same as the others that have posted.

I have one or two tickets on my record, no accidents, and I was insured on an '80s cruiser for a year before I graduated to the 2006 1050 S3

I mention that I have a 1050 because with some insurance polcies, you will get a better rate for sub-liter bikes.
