I just got my 2014 Scrambler, and it didn't come with a manual. This is annoying. Even more annoying is that the options appear to be a) go to the stealership, and I doubt they'll have any for these air cooled models; b) watch eBay; c) go to one of those download sites that to me give off a serious scam vibe.

So, I found the most important data. Hope someone finds this useful. If you find any errorrs, let me know and I'll correct them.

Strict policy decision after the subcommittee made their presentation to the synod.

couple of fields are mixed up... example, the T100 does not have a 270 degree crank, T100 has no skidplate. Also IIRC all LCD speedo (2010+?) Thruxton & base/SE/T100/newchurch/etc. have the same engine so no difference in power/torque specs.

Thanks for helping me clarify, Mr72. I believe the 270 degree crank/skidplate torque spec are specfic to the Steve McQueen edition. I've added comments to that effect.

As for the power, I was copying and pasting, so I think it's best to trust that. I also checked some reviews of the various models, using 2012 as a benchmark, and saw slightly different figures.

(HiDesert) The Steve McQueen edition of the T100 has a 360 degree crank not a 270. It did come standard with a skid plate. The engine in the 2012-13 Steve McQueen is the same as standard Bonneville T100.
Thanks; Tom

Okay, I've double checked and it does appear that the Steve McQueen edition has a 360 degree crank. Reference 1 Reference 2

So I've updated the spreadsheet to say 360 with a note about the ambiguity. But I can't find reference to a 270 degree on the T100, Steve McQueen, or the T100.

Thanks to both of you for helping me make this as accurate as possible!

(HiDesert) There is no ambiguity. All air cooled Bonneville, Bonneville SE, Bonneville T100, Thruxton, and any special editions like the Steve McQueen model are 360 degree. Only the air cooled Scramblers are 270 degrees. The newer water cooled Bonneville models did change to 270 degree cranks.
Thanks; Tom

Do a google search. I found my complete owners manual in pdf form, 2015 America, saved to my phone. Hope this helps. Cheers, safe riding.

My fuel injected 2010 Scrambler (date of manufacture 07/09) shows tire pressure of 33/38 psi on the plate on the bike, 30/34 in the owner's manual, and, in HiDesert's chart, 30/41. My 2011 T100, which has the same size tires, weighs the same, etc., shows 33/38 in the manual and 33/41 in the above chart. I would think there might be some confusion in other areas as well. Sometimes it seems like you just have to go and look at it to see what's there. They seem to have published different information for no clearly discernable reason.

Recommendations may change over time, either due to changes in suspension parts or settings, or changes in stock tires brand/model, or just what customers just seem to like. The real test is to see what works well - make an informed choice and see how it works out. Watch for shorter tire life than others are reporting, watch for cupping, that sort of thing, and adjust accordingly.

Over time, perhaps, but it's difficult to see how much changed, in my case, from the date of manufacture to the date of publication of the owner's manual. My 2008 T100 and 2011 T100 were otherwise identical except for EFI yet had several different recommendations. Just using the tires for example. Mostly doesn't matter, but there are no doubt some typos or poor editing involved from time to time.

I'm sure that's a factor. Getting out a perfect, typo-free document takes a lot of work.

Nice post buddy. I tried to copy and paste the info onto a word doc to save it. The Margins were fooked. Looked a mess. Any suggestions? Ive booked marked this thread but was hoping to copy and print and laminate for my garage.

Cheers

Hmm, I tried attaching the excel file but the web site won't let me. I'd suggest copying the data into Excel and working with it there.

Brilliant effort in compiling the data. I do rely quite a bit on my Haynes Manual - published locally to me in the UK.
I also find Delboy's Garage on Youtube useful - but then one of the bikes he works on is a Bonneville SE like mine.
