My TBird 1600 has about 14,000 miles. It seems to be idling a little slow and once recently it stalled out in traffic.

How do I adjust the idle? I looked at the quadrant that rotates and there are 2 adjustment screws. I want to raise the idle just a scoshe.

There are 2 adjustment screws under the "quadrant" and one, also yellow locktited on top. I don't know 4 certain, so please be sure before you make changes, but I think the upper one will adjust your idle. On some other equipment, the idle is set electronically, so confirmation would be requisite before adjustment. 2 bottom adjustments appear to be 1. idle stepper motor, 2. fuel injection throttle body synchronization. Please let me know if this is correct, and check before you adjust. Delicate stuff- be carefull:eek:

I actually did adjust the upper screw - it is very sensitive. A quarter turn is way too much. It seems to be okay now.
