Going to look at a '99 Thunderbird this weekend. It's got a 3 into 2 exhaust. Would it, by definition be a TOR exhaust system? If not, how does one ID a TOR??

Standard exhaust is "3 into 2" (one into one (left) and 2 into the other(right)). TOR refers to the mufflers only. TOR mufflers will be marked "for off road use only" and carry a Triumph part number. (Triumph Off Road.)

For future reference, my US spec T'bird TOR pea-shooters have a "disclaimer" etched in. Old pic I just happened to have below. Polishing them has lightened it a good bit, but still visible if you look close.

Yep, look for the disclaimer. Regular pipes will say they meet regulations TORs will say they don't.
