Hey guys this is my 1st Triumph. I've just taken off the rear wheel.I shoved the axle back into the axle slot to hold the caliper and speedo drive. The axle does not slide through the speedo drive . How snug or loose should the fit be. Like I said my 1st Triumph so I have no reference or experience.I feel the axle should slide through easily but I don't know for sure.
thanks, Bill

Yep, it should slip right through. No resistance.

And what is with that tiny grease nipple on the bottom of the speedo gearbox:confused? Do they actually have a 1/4 scale grease gun to use on that thing?

BTW , for grease fittings that are only holes with a check ball , use a grease needle . it fits on your grease gun and has a pin point end . should be available at any auto parts store :)

cheers , Woody
